DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT NEAR DALE DRIVE

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On October 1, 2021, at approximately 10:52 p.m., officers responded to the 280 block of Dale Drive for a gunshot wound incident. A 15-year-old male was located with a critical gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators identified a suspect, a 16-year-old male. The juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Use of a Firearm, Underage Possession of a Firearm, and Firearm by Felon.
