PORTSMOUTH POLICE CHARGE SUSPECT IN CONNECTION TO A MURDER FOR HIRE PLOT

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On October 24, 2022, 41-year-old Nicholas Louis Ortiz was charged with two counts of Criminal Solicitation of Murder and two counts of Felony Obstruction of Justice: Witness Intimidation after investigators received information that indicated Ortiz was orchestrating a plot to murder two witnesses in pending cases that he is involved in. Ortiz was arraigned this morning and is currently being held without bond in the Portsmouth City Jail.
