PORTSMOUTH POLICE HAVE CITY-WIDE WARRANT SWEEP, FIREARMS RECOVERED

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On October 6, 2021, Police impounded a suspicious vehicle, in addition to the U-Haul. Results from a search of that vehicle revealed drugs, five additional firearms, and other items related to gang activity. This brings the total of firearms recovered that night to 14. The vehicle was confirmed stolen from Norfolk.

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On October 6, 2021, the Portsmouth Police Department conducted a city-wide warrant sweep. There were a total of six people arrested. The following individuals were taken into custody:
1. Female Juvenile — Probation Violation
2. Male Juvenile — Rape
3. Female Juvenile — Firearm, concealed weapon, firearm recovered
4. Jerome Hill — Robbery
5. Jequan Butler — Domestic Assault
6. Alyssa Perkinson — Strangulation
Those involved in this operation also assisted the Patrol Unit and recovered a U-Haul that had connections to gang activity. The vehicle was located near Manly Street. The vehicle was impounded and the U-Haul company was contacted. Officers also seized a total of nine firearms.
