PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE CRASH WITH SEVERE INJURY

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On June 18, 2023, around 12:57 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Elm Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found that a red Hyundai and a gray Ford had collided. The driver of the Ford stayed at the scene. The operator of the Hyundai is a 27-year-old male, who was transported to a hospital with critical injuries at the time of the accident. He remains in critical condition. Investigation into how this occurred is ongoing.
