PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE ON CAVALIER BLVD

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On May 12, 2022, at approximately 12:41 a.m. officers responded to the 1600 block of Cavalier Boulevard for a welfare check on an individual near the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, they located 27-year-old Kenyona Neshay Bailey with a fatal gunshot wound. Next of Kin has been notified. This is an active homicide investigation and more information will be released to the public as it becomes available.
