PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE ON KING STREET

On Sunday, December 18, 2022, Johnathan A. Rosekrans and Mathew L. Meek were apprehended in Pasquotank County, NC. Both face several charges in connection to the death of 46-year-old Ronnie Trewren, including First Degree Murder. We want to thank the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in apprehending these suspects. Investigators are still searching for 38-year-old Erin L. Fitzgerald.

Investigators have secured charges for three wanted suspects connected to the 4100 King Street Homicide.

38-year-old Erin Lynn Fitzgerald is charged with Conspiring to Commit First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and she is also wanted for Four Counts of Probation Violation.

21-year-old Johnathan A. Rosekrans is charged with Conspiring to Commit First Degree Murder, First Degree Murder, and Felony Hit and Run. He is also wanted for Robbery and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

31-year-old Mathew Lee Meek is charged with First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and Conspiring to Commit First Degree Murder.

Investigators are searching for 21-year-old Johnathan A. Rosekrans. He is currently considered a Person of Interest in the 4100 King Street Homicide. Rosekrans also has warrants for Robbery and Firearm by Felon.

Investigators are searching for 38-year-old Erin L. Fitzgerald. She is currently considered a Person of Interest in the 4100 King Street Homicide. Fitzgerald also has warrants for four counts of Probation Violation.

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On December 5, 2022, around 8:55 p.m., officers responded to a walk-in gunshot wound incident at a local hospital. 46-year-old Ronnie Trewren was at the hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds. His injuries proved fatal, Next of Kin was notified. The crime scene was located near the 4100 block of King Street.
