PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE ON KING STREET

Investigators have arrested 22-year-old Ryheem Jasaun Hargrow Pugh. He is charged with 2nd-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Angel Peterson-Bryant was located early Friday Morning. She is charged with Accessory after the Fact of Murder 2nd Degree and Obstruction of Justice (Material False Statements). Peterson-Bryant is being held at the Portsmouth City Jail without bond.

Investigators are searching for 22-year-old Angel Peterson-Bryant. She is considered a Person of Interest in connection to the 3500 King Street Homicide.

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On June 1, 2023, at approximately 7:56 a.m. officers responded to the 3500 block of King Street for a reported gunshot wound incident. Upon arrival, officers located 34-year-old Rocco Nixon with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, but his injuries proved fatal. Nixon’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
