PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE ON MAPLE AVENUE

The Portsmouth Police Department is searching for 40-year-old Antwann Jacque Gore. He is charged with four counts of Aggravated Homicide connected to the 1600 Maple Avenue Homicide.

Detectives are looking for 36-year-old Latasha Monique Taylor, she is a considered a Person of Interest in the Maple Avenue homicide investigation.
Taylor has been located and she is no longer considered a Person of Interest at this time.

The fourth victim, 66-year-old Samuel Jones, has succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin has been notified.

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On June 7, 2022, at approximately 9:36 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Maple Avenue for a reported gunshot wound incident. Officers located the following individuals with fatal gunshot wounds:
- 30-year-old Georgio Davonta Lee
- 37-year-old Oleisha Deanna Mears
- 34-year-old Ashley Merricks
Next of kin has been notified.
A 4th victim, a 66-year-old male, is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. According to witnesses, a possible 2011 black GMC Acadia with Virginia tags VVF-9829 was seen leaving the area after the incident occurred.
