PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE ON NEWPORT AVE

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On January 22, 2023, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Newport Avenue for a reported gunshot wound incident. Upon arrival officers located 28-year-old Lee Sawyer III with a fatal injury. Next of Kin has been notified.
