PORTSMOUTH POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING ON LECKIE STREET

Police have apprehended 38-year-old Maurice Datrelle Ruffin II.

PORTSMOUTH POLICE, VA — On April 13, 2022, at approximately 8:29 a.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Leckie Street for a reported gunshot wound incident. An adult female was located with a serious gunshot wound; she has been transported to a hospital and is receiving treatment. Detectives are now searching for 38-year-old Maurice Datrelle Ruffin II. He is charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Shoot in Commission of a Felony, and Possession or Transportation of a Firearm by Violent Felon.
