PORTSMOUTH POLICE SEARCH FOR UNKNOWN ROBBERY SUSPECT

PORTSMOUTH, VA — On May 10, 2022, officers responded to the 3400 block of George Washington Highway for a reported armed robbery. An unknown suspect entered the Family Dollar store armed with a black rusty handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money. He fled the scene on foot, and no injuries were reported. The suspect was seen wearing a blue skull camouflage jacket, grey sweatpants, red boxer briefs, tan boots, and a black and white mask.
