PORTSMOUTH POLICE TO HOST FBI HUMAN TRAFFICKING FORUM

PORTSMOUTH POLICE, VA — The Portsmouth Police Department will be hosting a Human Trafficking & Violent Crimes Against Children Presentation on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Portsmouth Police Department Administration Building located at 206 High Street, at 11 a.m.

The forum will be about an hour, with time for a Q&A portion at the end. The public can expect members of the FBI Norfolk Field Office to speak about Sextortion, Online Threats, Cyberbullying, Human Trafficking, and Victim Services. Those presenting include Two FBI Special Agents and an FBI Victim Specialist.

The FBI’s mission to combat violent crime against children stresses the importance of keeping our children safe from online threats. We hope that this presentation will help the public learn about the dangers of human trafficking and provides parents with helpful tools and information to protect their children.
